After living here with our own 5 children we designed
Logis La Cabane to be perfect for young families. We love sharing this amazing place. Here are just a few reviews so that you can see what people say..........
“Spotlessly clean gite, hosts are excellent - around if you need them but not
intrusive. They have thought of pretty much everything you might need to
keep your children busy - toys, games, (inside and out), children's plates,
cutlery etc. Lots to do on site and lots within an hours drive.
Boulangerie van daily was a treat and use of bikes (with helmets) great.
Lots of quiet tracks and roads around. It was really hot and magically
a fan appeared on our doorstep, likewise the dishwasher had a fault
and a new one was installed by the time we got back from the beach!
Heather puts up lists of what's good to do nearby/nice beaches etc.
We had a great time, our boys (2 and 5) loved it.

“A relaxing family holiday…
We have returned from a fabulous week at La Cabane. We stayed in Le Figuier, which has a gorgeous private shaded patio overlooking the meadow where are boys (5 and 9) could run free, playing on the swings, trampoline, climbing frames, etc., while we enjoyed a glass of wine and a bbq. The swimming pool is gated and is spotlessly clean, surrounded by beautiful trees and plants, making it a real oasis - the boys had fun with the free inflatables and were thrilled to spot a few lizards that had come to share the sun! Heather and Phillip could not be more welcoming and provide so much to do at the gites (table tennis, bikes, badminton, table football, even a converted caravan for older children to hide away in) that is hard to leave to go out exploring! When we did, there were lots of lovely towns to explore (we loved Saintes) and all kinds of activities to keep everyone happy. We highly recommend you go!“ GOZO
"Beautiful place for a holiday…
Logis La Cabane really is wonderful place.
The gite, La Sorcierre where we have stayed twice now, was spotless, very well equipped and beautifully renovated. There is lots to do for everyone. My children loved kayacking and cycling around the many cycle paths through fields of sunflowers.
The owners are very welcoming and friendly and are on hand if needed. The swimming pool which is very well maintained is surrounded by lavender, fig trees and many beautiful mature shrubs and plants.
I look forward to visiting again.”

“When your 7 year old son announces within minutes of arriving that "this place is paradise for me", you know you are on to a winner. Logis La Cabane is every bit as lovely as the website implies. We received a warm welcome from Heather and Philip, who have worked incredibly hard to create a really special place. We stayed in "La Libellule" which has been furnished and decorated to an extremely high standard. The beds were comfy, it was lovely and quiet, and we slept like logs. The 3 cottages on site are arranged within a walled courtyard which has been planted with lovely herbs, shrubs and flowers with meandering pathways. The pool is located at one end, and is an absolute sun trap. Dotted around the courtyard and the adjoining meadow are lots of activities for children - table football, table tennis, a sand pit, basket ball, trampoline, football pitch, brand new climbing frame, swings. There are also several bikes you can borrow. There are masses of things to do in the surrounding area, and Heather and Philip can offer you advice on what would be best. We were very sad to leave, and would not hesitate to recommend this place to anyone browsing this website.” DOLLY2309

Has to be one of the best kept secrets in France! A peaceful and relaxing haven for both young and old. A warm welcome awaits you at Logis La Cabane with lovely accommodation, fresh croissants every day and fan tailed doves in the court yard! We will be back ! “ KIWIANDOSWOLD
“I have never written a review before but with this holiday at Logis La Cabane,
I just had to! We went on holiday with our friends and had the most wonderful,
relaxing holiday with the children that we have ever had. The gites are
renovated in traditional simple style (with mod cons)and space has been
allowed instead of cramming too many rooms which would have spoilt
the effect. The place itself is beautiful, with a peaceful, calm atmosphere.
There are no stark boundaries between gites and the trees and greenery
in the courtyard provide a discreet privacy. Our children had such freedom
because of the way Philip and Heather have created it...the pool is secured
at all times and the garden is slightly untamed and flows into meadow which
encourages hide and seek and exploratory adventures but also offers the
more traditional play of swings, trampoline etc. In two weeks, we rarely
strayed from the magic of Logis La Cabane because we had all that we
wanted there and we will return for sure. I could go on but I hesitate to
expand further in case everyone out there finds this haven!! “KOPPERKAT
“We stayed for our second time for two weeks in August. We have never been back anywhere twice before but, after an amazing holiday last year, we decided to return and, if anything, it was even better. Heather and Philip have managed to create what is, for us, the perfect holiday environment. All three gites are beautiful, they have everything you could wish for and are situated in a beautiful location surrounded by sunflower fields and vineyards. There is plenty to do in the local area but the best days for us were the ones when we chose to do nothing and our daughter played in the meadow with the friends she made from the other families staying here. Because it is completely secure the children can run relatively free, and parents can relax knowing they are never far away and always within earshot of one of the families. The highest recommendation I can give is that we thought we’d never go anywhere twice and, having already done so, we will be back again.” DOWNHILLRACER
